THE MAASAI MARKET IN MOMBASA.

Hello lovelies,

I have missed you and am happy to share with you my new post. If you you’ve been to Kenya, you already know what this means and if not, no worries. Enjoy the post. Maasai Market is an open market where local handicrafts are sold at the same time providing job opportunities for some Kenyan people. I find it great because one is given a chance to show their talent and you will agree with me once you have their finished product in your hands. What exactly are these handicrafts? These are the wooden sculptures such as home hanging masks, the big five animals statues, beaded necklaces, bracelets, shoes, vikois, sisal bags, Kitchen wares and so many other stuffs. All these items are handmade showcasing some personality of the craftsmen.

Maasai Market has been exciting in my home country just that back in the days, I had to travel to Nairobi to buy my beaded necklaces and I was so excited to hear that we now have the markets in my city town, Mombasa. On my short trip to Kenya, i definitely had to witness this.

Venue 1: City Mall Nyali Kenya every Wednesday & Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Venue 2: Tuskys Supermarket Mtwapa every Friday & Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

So my friends, when you travel to Kenya and you want something authentic, something african, Maasai Markets are the places to visit and get your beautiful souvenirs.

Love
